A ceramic NIJ level IV stand-alone armor plate, SAPI cut, therefore compatible with most body armor vests and plate carriers out there. NIJ IV level protection
The NIJ 101.06 standard level IV is the highest possible rating. It offers protection from virtually all rifle rounds, including AP bullets. The better protection from AP rounds is a trade-off, however: in addition to the increased weight, NIJ IV is not specified to protect from six hits, as NIJ III is.
